Cameron means business, Sean impress with his debut in Moto2

In Qatar, American racing team accomplished to secure the first points of 2022 campaign thanks to Beaubier efforts. SDK managed to finished his first race gaining confidence and data for the next race.  

06 March 2022, Lusail– American racing team is confident after the first Moto2 round in Qatar. Team is making major steps forward allowing Beaubier to finish 9th and keep his rhythm for the whole race not too far away from the leading group. Sean Dylan Kelly, barring couple mistakes, showed already in the first round that there is room for improvement.  

 

After he has escaped the opening lap incident between Acosta and Dixon, Cameron Beaubier executed a perfect race pace that brought him in the 7th position, close to the group has fought for the podium. However, the gap, that has been set by the leading riders, was too remarkable. On top, Cam was force to several overtakes in order to defending the place. In the second phase of the race, his physical condition coerced him to settle for the 9th position. On the other hand, Sean launched himself into 20th position at the start of the race, and he keep fighting with his group, until he has to back forward to 24th with the objective to accumulate kilometres. American racing found himself in a favourable scenario of having both riders competing seriously for points in Moto2 championship for the next rounds. 

 

Saen Dylan Kelly: “The true is that I am really happy because the objective was finishing the race: my first race here in Qatar and my first race in Moto2 world championship. The 20 laps were really long and I gained a lot of experience. My first lap was really impressive, I managed to overtake several riders and I found myself in a good group. However, I had a couple of moments, really close to crash. Then I decide to stick with my goal, finish the race and enjoy. But I know I can improve a lot for next races. Thank you to the team and to American racing for the opportunity and all the people is supporting me.”
